DUTIES:
Responsible for defining and writing clear and succinct technical documentation related to systems and application engineering; create procedures and scripts for automating and streamlining repeatable processes during server integrations and large scale application rollout; test, maintain, and monitor computer programs and systems, including coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems; develop, document and revise system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards; review and analyze code problems, and correct errors by correcting codes; design, develop and implement process for automated installation of Linux, Unix and Windows operating system; develop migration plan to migrate physical server into virtual environment; define process and work on critical server and storage migration involving complex high availability configuration, using VCS and MC (mission critical) Service Guard on HP superdome and SunFire servers; ensure guidelines for internal and external access of servers have been strictly implemented using SOX compliance; ensure no loss of data while synchronizing using SRDF technology with Disaster Recovery site; develop server maintenance plans and introduce technologies that add value to the data center resources and services; define and execute process of server patching, OS upgrades, and engineering change requests; configure and maintain Oracle and DB2 Databases; confer with clients regarding the nature of the information processing or computation needs a computer program is to address; coordinate and link the computer systems within an organization to increase compatibility and so information can be shared; determine computer software or hardware needed to set up or alter system; assess the usefulness of pre-developed open source application packages and adapt them to a user environment; analyze information processing or computation needs and plan and design computer systems, using techniques such as structured analysis, data modeling and information engineering; utilize Shell Script, Python, Linux, UNIX, Redhat Cluster, Solaris ZFS, IBM Flash, Java, Perl, Ruby, Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet and VCS to perform duties; design Private, Public and Hybrid cloud and automate instance management using Puppet and Jenkins; monitor and maintain health, performance, and security of the infrastructure; resolve UNIX and Linux based server support problems in a global enterprise environment through resourceful troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and best practice solutions that prevent recurrence; define the goals of the system and devise flow charts and diagrams describing logical operational steps of programs; prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation; and support the analysis and solution of business problems, such as development of integrated production and inventory control and cost analysis systems.

LOCATION: Bridgewater, NJ and multiple undetermined worksites throughout the US;

SALARY: $92,435 per year

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:

Education: Masters – Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, Technology Management, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
Training: None
Experience: Six (6) months in the position above, as a Systems Analyst / Administrator, or in a related occupation.
Other Requirements: Experience must include six (6) months use of all the following: Shell Script, Python, Linux, UNIX, Redhat Cluster, Solaris ZFS, IBM Flash, Java, Perl, Ruby, Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet and VCS.
Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
