DUTIES:
Responsible for designing and implementing Linux based device embedded applications to provide control and monitoring of hardware, and to provide data conversions and networking; design and implement Linux kernel modules for custom hardware; utilize C/C++ and other languages to code for embedded software and applications; design, maintain, and extend continuous integration systems using Jenkins and CodeDeploy; participating in an agile development process and using the same agile techniques for the systems/software development; code application and system components covering user interface, business functions, database, and security; implement automated tests into a test framework that verify the application and system; champion software development best practices such as software development standards, code reviews, secure coding practices and integration testing; create and maintain programmatic and technical documentation to ensure efficient planning and execution including design, installation, and administration documentation; define and write clear and succinct technical documentation related to systems and application Engineering; create procedures and scripts for automating and streamlining repeatable processes during server integrations and large scale application rollout; define process and work on critical server and storage migration involving complex high availability configuration, using VCS and MC (mission critical) Service Guard on HP superdome and SunFire servers; work on major Openstack components including Cinder (Block Storage), Nova (Compute), Glance (Image Service), Swift (Object Storage) and Horizon (Dashboard); support storage and system administration for various Labs in Openstack environment; configure Hitachi HUS110, HP MSA, Pure arrays and SolidFire clusters; deploy Solidfire clusters in an Integrated Cloud environment; develop server maintenance plans and introduce technologies that add value to the data center resources and services; configure and maintain Oracle and DB2 Databases; resolve UNIX and Linux based server support problems in a global enterprise environment through resourceful troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and best practice solutions that prevent recurrence; provide 24 X 7 on-call UNIX and Linux support on a rotating schedule basis; work with other Development teams and IT department personnel to coordinate system software changes and support application changes; utilize Shell Script, Python, Linux, UNIX, Redhat Cluster, Solaris ZFS, IBM Flash, Java, Perl, Ruby, Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet and VCS SQL Server to perform duties; write code enhancing inbuilt mission-critical Message Gateway system using C++ programming, Linux Shell and Python; participate in technical review meetings and provides technical support and sessions for the implementation and usage of the Ansible products; support infrastructure planning, testing, and Security & automation using code and script including PHP, Python, Perl and Ruby; and oversee server life-cycles and inventory by analyzing older legacy systems, and assessing options for upgrading, consolidating, or disposal.

LOCATION: Bridgewater, NJ and multiple undetermined worksites throughout the US;

SALARY: $105,414 per year

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:

Education: Masters – Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, Technology Management, Computer Information Systems, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
Training: None
Experience: One (1) year in the position above, as a Software Developer, as a Systems Analyst, as a Systems Analyst / Administrator, or in a related occupation.
Other Requirements: : Experience must include one (1) year use of all the following: Shell Script, Python, Linux, UNIX, Redhat Cluster, Solaris ZFS, IBM Flash, Java, Perl, Ruby, Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet and VCS SQL Server.
Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
